Basic Troubleshooting Checklist:
- Open all vents throughout the house to ensure proper airflow.
- Check and replace or clean the air filter if it is dirty or clogged.
- Inspect the thermostat settings and ensure it is set correctly.
- Make sure the breaker has not tripped and the unit has power.
- Clear debris around the outdoor condenser (leaves, grass, dirt).
- Turn off power and hose off the outside unit, cleaning dust between the fins/vanes.
- Ensure nothing is blocking airflow around indoor/outdoor units.
- Listen for unusual noises (buzzing, rattling, grinding).
- Check for ice buildup on refrigerant lines or coils.
